Franklin's Striking 19th Hole
Franklin have just completed an impressive conservatory installation at the Frilford Heath Golf Club, Abingdon to serve as a striking function room overlooking the golf course.

The rooftop conservatory was design by DK Design Consultants, while Franklin supplied all of the materials for the installation including portal frame. The roof was Franklin's own specification which was based around Quantal's thermally broken aluminium system and clad internally with Franklin's own internal ash hardwood finish. The windows were also of a matching composite design from their own window and door range to provide an overall consistent design.
The project value of £152,000 and the fact that the installation took 60 days to complete shows the depth of resource at Franklin and hints at the capability for delivering a number of solutions for the architect and specifier. The company offers an innovative range of windows, doors, orangeries and conservatories and this includes the latest composite folding door which has generated considerable interest both in the UK and USA markets.
David Franklin, director of Franklin and who managed the project comments: "We are getting a number of enquiries from the commercial sector for something a little different. Our unique system allows us to blend the performance of aluminium with the warmth and beauty of hardwood. In every instance we have been praised for the quality and design of our installations."
